Okay guys, I know I kind of dropped off the face of the earth – school has been working me pretty hard but I promised new tracks, and I will deliver on those promises soon!

As you guys know, I’m a producer and not a performing artist – but as a treat for being so supportive, I’ll be releasing a small set of tracks (a “mini-album” of sorts.. ;P) that you guys have been hearing teasers of for quite some time. I figured that it’s ridiculous for me to have fans with no real content to speak of, so I’ll be releasing the songs via this blog and youtube as well. I’ll keep you guys posted!

The track list will look something like this:

- Out of My Mind

- *untitled track that you haven’t heard a preview of yet! get pumped *
- Out of My Mind [Rex Rowdee Remix]

So I’ll be completely re-producing Not Enough and One More Day from scratch, so those of you hardcore early fans that downloaded the guides before I took them down, you’ll have something to replace them with shortly! Out of My Mind has been mixed and requires just a little bit of vocal tweaking, Whatever it Takes is almost done as well. Rex Rowdee (@ah_rex on Twitter) was kind enough to take a look at Out of My Mind and put together an awesome synth-heavy remix for me, so I’ll let you guys take a listen to that as well! Finally, there is a fifth track that none of you have heard yet that I’m hoping will be done soon as well.

I also have hopes of having a few mystery guests on these tracks, so I’ll keep you guys posted!

Thanks for sticking by me even when I go MIA or have zero available content (i.e. pretty much always). The support I get from you guys gives me the strength to keep going when things get tough! ^^

EDIT: Just to clarify, none of these songs are going to be on my professional demo or mixtape – I’m working on and releasing these just for you guys! These songs may have little to no commercial/marketable value, but I enjoyed writing them, so even if they’re not going to be a part of a demo or anything, I still want somebody to hear them.

I am sick, but even if I were healthy my voice wouldn’t be much better.. I’m a producer, not a singer, so don’t expect too much! I just wanted to make good on my UStream promise to sing for you guys ^^

Hey everybody! Thanks for being patient. Right now, Rex Rowdee is helping me with the mixing on the track “Out of My Mind”, and as soon as I get my fried channel strip back from the shop, I’ll re-record the vocals and release a free copy on my blog!

As for the guest feature, we had to reschedule our studio session because the Focusrite preamp is still in the shop. Sorry for the delay! I know it seems like all you do as a fan of mine is wait.. but it wont be that way for much longer! A ton of content is being prepared, and I’ll be releasing it all periodically throughout the upcoming term so that I can focus on studies and feel like I’m accomplishing stuff online as well

I know I promised both a cover and the release of the guide version of “Out of My Mind” several weeks ago, but between school and having to pack up and ship most of my equipment to my place in Korea, working on music has been really limited to pounding out some new beats and sketching new flowcharts and lyrics up for new potential songs.

The way my schedule works out, I’ll be up to my ass in work and other appointments for another two weeks, at which point I’ll fly to Korea and set up another temporary studio space. From there, I’ll do some covers and finish the mixing of “Out of My Mind” along with “One More Day” – I’ve decided to release “One More Day” as well, since you guys already heard the teaser and it’s really never something I’m going to use for my demo anyways

Thanks so much again for your patience! As always, your support on Twitter and even Formspring continues to be a big part of me overcoming my own dissatisfaction and insecurity regarding my music. Thanks so much for the love!

Also, just a quick plug for what’s going on this summer – for those of you that haven’t heard, I’ll be putting together a lot of collaborative work this summer on top of honing my own skills for my upcoming demo. I’m not going to list any names here, but on the list of hopeful collaborators are rappers, pop stars, internet sensations, and even some trainees Names of course have been withheld for their own privacy (and also because I’m not sure if I’ll be allowed to release the tracks that I work on with these highly regarded musicians), but I’ll keep you guys updated on the situation!

Hey guys,

I’m pretty excited about turning my YouTube channel into a place where I can post covers of varying degrees of completion (from a cappella recorded via video camera to fully produced and recording via ProTools) while I continue to privately work on my demo.

There are tons of songs that I love to sing and play on the piano, and some that I love to sing and still have to learn. I was wondering if you guys had any input as to what I should cover next (or first, as it happens to be)!

A couple of ideas I had were some songs by John Legend, Ne-Yo, Usher, or maybe even Sisqo – don’t worry, I’d be singing “Incomplete”, not “The Thong Song”…

Hey guys,

You might have noticed a few changes on the website – namely, I’ve removed the old tracks.

After talking extensively with one of my friends at JYPE, I’ve come to the conclusion that the best thing to do for my future career is keep my original work under wraps until I’m ready to start submitting demos. Because of this, I won’t be releasing originals via my website or YouTube page for quite some time. I understand that in doing so I will lose many viewers, but I hope that you will understand when I say that this is the best move I can make for my career. I’m not a very good singer, but I’ll continue to update my YouTube page with covers and short clips of myself in the studio or other areas of my life (i.e. while I’m in Korea) where music abounds, and hopefully many of you will continue to watch and subscribe as I work towards my future goal of being a producer.

I will be releasing “Out of My Mind” once I finish mastering it for a limited time-frame, which I will tweet and announce on YouTube so that those of you who have been kind enough to support and encourage me over the past month or so won’t have been waiting in vain.

Thanks again for all the love and support! All the positive feedback I’ve received over the past month has given me the strength to commit to music fully as a future career.

Just a short (well, not that short…) video of me and David in studio. Thanks again to everyone who has made this process so enjoyable! I’ll continue to produce music as long as a have even just a single listener (which will probably be for a while cause I think my mom just found my website.. haha).

The weather has really been messing with my plans this break. David (twitter.com/lsupreme, everybody get at him) was supposed to drive up today, but because of the rain it seems like he wont get here until tomorrow. Sigh. Another day of working and recording all by myself haha.

Hopefully the weather will clear up and I’ll be able to get plenty of work done this week – can’t wait to have some more tracks to share with you guys!

Just as a rough estimate, I’d say I have about 30 tracks in concept right now, and maybe 4 or 5 that are ready to mix and record. I swear I’m working hard even if you don’t have anything to download or listen to yet!

I’ve been getting a lot more attention these days (though thoroughly undeserved, haha), so I’ve made plans for this spring break to stay in Cambridge and spend majority of my free time in studio with David to finish up some tracks for a demo we’re putting together.

I really appreciate all the new supporters who have been sending me messages of encouragement via Twitter! I know you’re all trying to be nice, but the tracks currently out are a) not mixed, b) not mastered, c) recorded poorly, and d) not finished! That being said, I promise to work hard over the next few weeks so that I can release higher quality tracks (with less vocal errors if I can kick this cough before break starts!).

Thanks so much! I’ll also be redesigning the website and hopefully launching a friendlier interface so that people don’t have to just come to the blog to download stuff. I kind of want an “About Me” page, as vain as that sounds.. haha.

Microphone Preamp: Focusrite Voicemaster Pro

I also picked up a bunch of Blue Kiwi Quad Microphone Cables per the advice of Tommy Park. In case you guys haven’t seen in yet, go check out the Tik Tok drama/CF for Cass right away! It’s pretty sick and it very prominently features Tommy’s first #1 single (of many to come).
